Access Statement For The Leeway
Introduction
The Leeway is a warm and friendly Guest Accommodation, which has 10 steps leading to the front door. There are hand rails on both sides of the steps to help with access. The dining room and one bedroom is located on the ground floor.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• Car Parking is on the Road Side, which is FREE and unrestricted
• A Pay and Display Car Park is approx 3 minutes away
• Assistance is offered for carrying cases from car to bedroom
• Our contact telephone is displayed externally
• There is a bell to ring, located on the wall by the entrance of the front door, when accessing the building for the first time
• There is a bell in the hallway to ring for assistance should you require the ironing facilities etc

• Assistance is provided when carrying cases in to the building and up to the bedroom
• Additional keys to rooms are available on request

Bedrooms
• No bedrooms are suitable for wheelchairs
• Fire Alarm is a very loud bell
• All Guests are told the evacuation process on arrival, and are told that if they hear the fire alarm they are to assemble outside the front gate.
• Our Fire Officer, would also knock on all bedroom doors in the event of the fire alram sounding
• All TV's have Teletext and Remote Controls
• All TV's have built in CD/DVD players
• All bedrooms have chairs or sofa
• All bedrooms are carpeted
• All bedrooms have main central light and bedside lights - some also have reading lights in the seating areas
• Some beds are single / twin / ziplinked / kingsize
• One bedroom is located on the Ground Floor - Twin or Zip-Linked
• There is a cordless kettle in each bedroom which has a water indicator level

Additional Information
• The Leeway is not suitable for people who require wheelchairs, due to the only entrance having 10 steps to the front door. For people who require walking sticks, it is possible, as there is a handrail, and assistance is offered.
