Guests who book a stay at The Leeway enter into an agreement with us.
Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Prices:
The price includes accommodation & breakfast. We may ask for a deposit for certain times of year, ie fesival weekends etc.  We accept the following forms of payment: cash, debit cards & credit cards. Please note we cannot accept American Express cards or cheques from 1st August 2011 as deposits, but you can still pay by cheque for the balance of your stay. Payments by debit / credit card incur a 2.5% charge.

Pets:
Pets are not permitted.

Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. Any deposit taken is non-refundable. If we are holding your card details your card will be debited for the cost of the first nights stay.  For cancellations made up to 14 days before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time you will be liable for the total amount. (We will try our best to re let the room, and if we manage to do so, you will not have to pay, if however we cannot re let the room, your card will be debited). By failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount, and we will debit your card accordingly.

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover this holiday. Booking a holiday in the UK should not be seen as any different to booking a foreign holiday in insurance terms. Just because we are a small business you should not consider your booking in a different light to that of any larger tour operator.

Non-availability:
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival:
Your accommodation is available to you between the hours of 10am and 1pm and 5pm and 9pm.  If you arrive before 1pm, your room may not be ready, but you can register, leave your bags, collect your keys and then arrive back at a time convienient to yourself. If you are arriving by public transport please let us know the time of your bus or train and we will be able to arrange an alternative check in time.


Departure:
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:00 on the day of departure.  It may be possible for you to leave your bags with us if you are staying in Whitby for the day.

Damages and Breakages:
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this.

Smoking Policy:
We are 100% NON SMOKING. Any one found smoking will be asked to leave & charged £50:00 for the extra cleaning of the room.

Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Data:
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
